Donald Starcke

Donald Starcke has called New Jersey home for 23 years. He and his wife, Julia, have lived in Maplewood, North Plainfield, Ridgewood and East Rutherford over the years, and both Donald and Julia know Northern and Central NJ well.
Prior to joining Your Town Realty, for 14 years Donald consulted with and served as a staff director for Brooklyn Community Services (BCS), one of Brooklyn’s oldest non-sectarian, not-for-profit providers of social services. Donald managed BCS’s fundraising campaigns and wrote successful government and private program funding requests, providing more than $16 million to support BCS’s important work.
Donald and Julia are experienced residential real estate investors. In 2028-2021, they supervised an extensive interior redesign and renovation of a 145-year-old, three-story Italianate home, located in North Plainfield’s Washington Park Historic District, where they live today.
Donald is a returned U.S. Peace Corps volunteer. Earlier, during cable TV’s growth years, Donald was a sales and affiliate marketing executive for several satellite-delivered entertainment networks, including Showtime/The Movie Channel. Donald holds two Masters degrees: an M.S. in Nonprofit Management from New School University, New York City; and an Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX.
